Book drive

• What: 
  • The literacy gap between adults in Liberia is 48.3% and it is even lower for children. This project aims at increasing access to books for the underprivileged in order to improve literacy and reduce the literacy gap in the country. We hope this stimulates curiosity and fuel young children’s and adults’ neural development via imagination and storytelling.
• Where: 
  • School libraries and other public libraries around Liberia 
• Who: 
  • Children and adults without access to free books to stimulate their curiosity and imagination
• How:
  • Via donations from people in Minnesota and around the country, including libraries around the state
  • Books are preferred to be in English, slightly used or used but in good condition
    • Any genre and age level books are appropriate for this project

We are happy to announce that we collected 1000+ books and have shipped all of them!! The books were delivered safely and have been distributed to all of our schools and students!
